Agnetha Faltskog
Though she's earned a name for herself as an individual artist from Sweden, Agnetha Faltskog will always be best known as one of the members of 'ABBA' as one of the biggest famous and well-known pop acts of all time. When she left school at the age of 15 Agnetha started singing with Bernt Engelhardt's band that quickly gained popularity. Enghardt signed her to a record deal and soon made it to the high end of the Swedish charts with her first single. Bjornulvaeus later wed as her boyfriend, was also in the mix and she was a part of ABBA. In the following eight years, the group was one of the most successful rock groups around the globe, earning numerous gold and platinum awards throughout the world. Following ABBA the group released three albums called 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me', Eyes of a Woman And I Stand Alone'. Each of them was hugely successful in Sweden. They also gained popularity throughout Europe. However, they did not make a huge impact in America. The music of ABBA was the focus of a jukebox musical called "Mamma Mia!. Her return from her retirement to release 'My Coloring Book' that reached 11 in the U.K. charts. Her most recent album 'A', has also enjoyed a great reception.
