
Leona Louise Lewis (born 3 April 1985) is a British musician, singer actor, activist and actress. Born and raised within the London Borough Of Islington she went to the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis received national recognition when she was awarded the third and final season on The X Factor 2006 and was awarded a contract of PS1,000,000 from Syco music. The song she was awarded that was a cover of the song of Kelly Clarkson "A Moment like This" recorded 50,000 downloads in 30 minutes . It topped the charts at number 1 for four weeks. In February 2007, Lewis has signed a deal for five albums in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit Her first studio album. It reached platinum status 10 times over accredited in the UK. This album became the fourth-most popular album of the 2000, and was also among the most-sold UK albums. Spirit, according to Official Charts Company is the highest-selling debut album by a female musician. The UK's number-one single, Bleeding Love, remained at no. one for seven weeks and became the top-selling single of 2007 According to the Official Charts company. It was also the most-sold single sold in the US during the same time. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award the following year. In 2009, she dropped her second studio album, Echo and also composed the theme track, "I See You" from the movie Avatar. Lewis also made her debut with "Collide" in 2011as an album she co-produced in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii. In addition, she dropped Hurt, the EP, her first extended performance. Glassheart (2012) was Lewis's the third album of her studio. It's an exciting new style. Lewis draws inspiration from dubstep and electronic music. The Glassheart Tour was in the middle of 2013, when she began recording music to record her first Christmas album.
