Nathalie Emmanuel

Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor, best known for her part as Missandei (HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 She was also a British actress. The actress was born and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea an ocean-side holiday town in Essex, Emmanuel was drawn by acting at a young age. Nathalie began taking acting, singing, and dancing lessons around when she was just 3. Her parents were immediately impressed. Emmanuel was a highly skilled performer and actress. The role she was given was the young Nala on The West End for the stage production "The Lion King" at the end of the 1990s. Emmanuel began auditioning in her teens for film and TV roles. She was able to land her first role of note when she played Sasha Valentine in the British soap series Hollyoaks (Channel 4 1995-). Emmanuel played the part for four seasons, before leaving the show in 2010. Her next breakthrough was three years later, when she was cast in the role of Missandei as the character's interpreter Daenerys Targaryen (portrayed by Emilia Clarke), on HBO's "Game of Thrones."
